The next FBT (Future of Business Travel) will take place without a mask and face-to-face. After two remote editions, the flagship business travel and technology created by Tom.travel, a media outlet of Eventiz Media Group*, returns for a seventh edition, rooted more than ever in the realities of corporate travel professionals.

With a new format this year: the event will run all day, from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, and workshops led by experts are on the program. More than 250 professionals are expected at the Rive Montparnasse space in Paris, to learn about the trends and technologies that will shape business travel over the next 6 to 36 months.

The metaverse and its application to business travel

CSR at the heart of the debates

In the afternoon the more than strategic theme of corporate social responsibility (CSR) will be discussed by the speakers. As the level of demands from clients, investors and civil society continues to grow, legislation is becoming increasingly strict. Controlling the social and environmental impact of companies and that of their suppliers has become one of the keys to their performance and reputation. This will be explained by Pierre Mazeau (3 pm), manager of the Responsible Procurement Observatory, teacher and consultant in CSR, who has notably been the head of this department at EDF for twenty years.

Following this presentation, a roundtable discussion (3.20 pm) will be followed by Sandra Lévy (Group Head of Procurement for Metro France), Sarah Messaoui, (Global Category Manager for TotalEnergies) and Noémie Bernard (Head of Sustainable Development Mission, Performance, Procurement, Finance and Real Estate at the Ministry of Home Affairs), explaining how procurement departments measure and develop their company’s social engagement, while the integration of environmental and social criteria into procurement is an issue that is increasingly understood and adopted… but that business travel professionals sometimes lose seem when it comes to understanding them concretely.

New thematic workshops

Finally, Fabrice Bonnifet, Sustainable Development & Quality, Safety, Environment Director of the Bouygues Group and Chair of the College of Sustainable Development Directors (C3D), will demonstrate how the business travel industry can respond to the climate emergency through the various reports of the Intergovernmental Panel for climate change (IPCC) while maintaining its productivity. Should the share of air travel fall? Does the relevance of each journey have to evolve? What place should be given to new technological tools? Questions that interest all those responsible for a company’s “Travel” strategy.

Between all these speeches, workshops will be offered on the “co-construction of value” (led by Antoine Delesalle (AMEX GBT sales director) and Julien Lacroux (Amex GBT consulting director); the impact of the evolution of the world of work on travel (led by Aude Jean, sales director Hcorpo, and Aurélien Rodriguez, pre-sales & distribution director Hcorpo); the importance of user adoption (led by Kevin Pech, account manager and Nikita Schaub, product marketing at TripActions); or “new mobility solutions adapted to employees” (by Benjamin Giovianni, head of sales, Freenow for Business).
