Garriott’s NFT Game, LOTR and Guild Wars 2 Rights on Steam

It’s been a busy – and drama-filled – week here in MMORPG land, as the Richard Garriott-fronted crypto MMO took on a name and website that almost immediately disappeared from the internet, and Embracer claimed the rights to Lord of the Rings , wild islands withdrew from funding shenanigans, and Blizzard rushed to convince core players Diablo IV is not Diablo Immortal.

In happier news, Guild Wars 2 announced its launch on Steam, Tower of Fantasy it’s pretty good, Path of Exile liberated Lake Kalandra, double universe have a launch date, and Alganon came back from the dead.
