Sin-le-Noble: the music school gets a facelift and changes dimension

The Claudine-Collard music school on Place Maurice-Allard, in a building owned by the city since 1984, is being renovated and will have an extension of approximately 400 square meters (1).

Four hundred and thirty students visit the cultural center

The renovation project, which started in June 2022, will be well advanced to accommodate the four hundred and thirty students at the start of the school year in September. During the two-month holiday, the contractors are working on renewing the electricity, installing double-glazed joinery, partition walls, changing the floor covering, equipping sanitary facilities according to PMR standards (people with reduced mobility), modernizing the tools and draw inspiration from the latest energy-saving techniques.

The extension takes longer. End of work in January – February considers Nicolas Castelin, recalling the desire to preserve the external environment, especially the plane trees adjacent to the structure. The investment of two million euros approximately 34% is subsidized by government grants (2) for an annual operating budget of approximately €650,000. Evidence of the municipality’s will to make culture a strong marker of its actions.
