The #CI20 hosts the SASEN Business Forum, the BtoB meeting of the West African start-up ecosystem

(#CI20) – The #CI20 (Côte d’Ivoire Innovation 20), hosted on Thursday 2 June 2022 the SASEN Business Forum, the side event of the African Startups and Digital Economy Fair, dedicated to BtoB and sponsored by the Minister, Secretary- General of the Presidency of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Abdourahmane Cissé.

The #CI20 (Côte d’Ivoire Innovation 20), a college bringing together 15 nuggets from Ivorian Tech, hosted the first SASEN Business Forum, the SASEN sideline event dedicated to BtoB, on Thursday 2 June 2022 in Noom (Plateau , Ivory Coast).

This forum, the BtoB event of the West African tech start-up ecosystem launching the SASEN 2022, scheduled for November 2022, saw the participation of 250 decision-makers from Tunisia, Morocco, France, Benin, Senegal and Togo. The speakers discussed the issue of the competitiveness of start-ups in French-speaking Africa in the context of fundraising, the issue of women in the sector and the role and place of start-ups in the modernization of public administration. These themes, structuring the sector, could be addressed and, above all, accompanied by actions, thanks to the impetus of a real business environment focused on start-ups.

It is in this context that the synthesized results of the international report of the Global Innovation Index were presented, which conducted for the first time a study on the innovation ecosystem of Côte d’Ivoire using the #CI20 as an example of good practice. Indeed, the #CI20 brings together more than 10 National Excellence Award winners and more than 85 national and international awards, generating cumulative sales of FCFA 11 billion in 2021 and helping to create hundreds of jobs in the sub-region.

As a sponsor of this event, the Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Abdourahmane Cissé, announced the opening of reflections, led by the #CI20, on the creation of a start-up campus.
