the necessary
Since June 1, the School of Trades has been organizing open days every Wednesday afternoon of the month. Objective, discover the crafts and prepare the training campaign for the next school year.

From 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm, young people aged 16 to 29 were able to discuss with the educational teams: presentation of the training, discovery of workshops, site visits, etc. “During the open days in June, young people already know which profession to choose. We have made available practical teachers, who are in the workshops all year round. The aim is to answer questions about the professional aspect of their training as best as possible,” explains Yannick Pujo, CPE at the vocational school. And these open doors are open to everyone: “The vast majority of us welcome young people in their third or even second and first year for CAPs. But there are more and more people in professional retraining. These days are for them too.” he adds. .

The next school year is already tomorrow

Four hours in which all participants could imagine their daily life for the coming year. “Anyone can visit the establishment. We take them to the workshops, where they can watch the current students practice, using all the tools and machines we have,” rejoices Yannick Pujo. It’s also a pivotal moment when the education teams can refer them to bosses and companies for their next rotation. And there are many criteria.

“It is better to see the youngster in front of you. It allows us to orientate him a little bit for his next business, geographically or in relation to age. They can meet the teams for all these administrative procedures. An essential passage so that the two sides, apprentice and boss, are there and are satisfied,” assures Yannick Pujo.

Future students (2022-2023) will start working at the vocational school from 10 July. A more specific open day, special food, will be organized within the craft school on Tuesday 14 June 2022.

Every Wednesday in June is affected. For these open doors it is advisable to make an appointment on 05 62 44 11 88.
