New Business seat and more sustainable catering: Air France continues its exclusive strategy for elegant and responsible travel.

– Air France continues its strategy of moving to the higher end of the market and today unveils its new long-haul Business seat, elegantly reaffirming the art of French travel. Constantly evolving to always offer the highest level of comfort, the company revises its iconic chair, all the way in curves and softness, to offer a completely new version.
This takes the concept of the 3 “F’s”: Completely flatit comes in a real flat bed of almost 2 meters; Full accesseach has direct aisle access and Complete privacy, for optimal privacy. A new sliding door allows you to completely privatize your own space, preserving the rest of the cabin. For more closeness when traveling for two, the seats in the center of the cabin now have a central wall that can be easily lowered. A large space of conviviality is then available to enjoy the journey together. Furthermore, the chair has a large 17.3-inch 4K High Definition anti-glare screen, equipped with noise-cancelling headphones, a new Bluetooth connection so you can use your own headphones and multiple sockets.
Upon settling on board, everyone is greeted by a backlit winged seahorse, embodying the company’s founding myth and the richness of its history. In the seat, the padding provides a feeling of softness and intimacy. Wool, brushed aluminum, French full-grain leather, Air France has preferred noble, soft and natural materials for its manufacture. Finally, each armchair is embroidered with the red accent, the company’s trademark.

Air France thus introduces a new standard for this travel cabin. It will gradually be deployed on 12 Boeing 777-300s, each equipped with 48 seats in the Business cabin, from September 2022.
The company is also installing its latest Premium Economy (48) and Economy (273) seats on board these aircraft for optimal travel comfort. All cabins elegantly display the brand’s identity colours: navy blue, white for light and contrast, red accents.
Named “Fontainebleau”, the first aircraft equipped with these new cabins and equipped with a Wi-Fi connection will fly to New York-JFK in the fall.
Premium Economy and Economy, optimal well-being
In the Premium Economy cabin, Air France introduces its latest model of the “reclining seat” (reclining seat) type, which is already offered on the Airbus A350, while further improving comfort. Everyone on board has 96 cm of space to stretch their legs. The seat foams have been reworked and the navy blue herringbone fabric provides more softness. The backrest can be adjusted up to 124 degrees and has been widened to provide more privacy. A noise-reducing helmet fits harmoniously into use at any time during the journey. USB A and C connections complete the package.
The seats in the Economy cabin also meet the highest comfort standards on the market. Each room has a wide seat of 43 cm, a backrest of 119 degrees and 79 cm of legroom. The backrest is ergonomic and offers reinforced lateral support. A USB A port is also available.
These two cabins offer a large 13.3-inch 4k High Definition screen equipped with Bluetooth. Ideal for discovering more than 1,000 hours of on-demand entertainment.

A responsible catering offer
As the highlight of the trip, Air France aims to offer all its long-haul customers traveling from Paris a responsible and balanced French catering offer. In the Business cabin, the greatest French star chefs succeed each other to offer vegetarian compositions as well as refined dishes based on red, white meat or fish. In Premium Economy, customers now have a tasty offer just for them. In Premium Economy and Economy, meals are systematically labeled Nutri-Score A or B.
By the end of 2022, the company commits to offer 100% French origin meat, dairy products and eggs, as well as only fish from sustainable fisheries, on all its flights from Paris, all cabins combined. A vegetarian dish is also systematically offered and all meals are completely prepared in France. The children’s and baby menus are made exclusively from products from organic farming.
In addition, this year, as part of the fight against food waste, Air France is generalizing the possibility to pre-select your hot meal in Business before departure. This service combines the guarantee of the availability of the customer’s choice and fairer consumption. The company is also committed to recycling and eliminating 90% of single-use plastics on board its aircraft by early 2023. To this end, Air France continues to develop eco-designed products on board made from biobased materials such as bagasse or cellulose. . Finally, when certain items can no longer be taken on board, they are donated to charities.
