Academy – football school: a weekend full of victories!

Except for the C-team which was unfortunately defeated in Liré-Drain in R3 (3-2), the other categories in our youngsters were especially in good shape. Throwback to a weekend where the cries of war were legion!

Seniors C

Lire-Drain 3-2 SW Cholet

This game was certainly a turning point in the season for the C team going to a direct competitor for maintenance. Unfortunately, Bérenger Gruau’s players turned their backs and will have to fight hard to stay in R3.

Berenger Greau“Despite the negative score, I remember the will of the boys and the energy they put in to get the equalizer for the first time and then come back to score at 3-2. At 10 against 11 for more than one half an hour the boys did not give up and the result was played out in detail on a complicated ground that did not allow us to implement our principles as we wanted.. Now we have to play three finals to hope for the maintenance the boys deserve for their investment in the field. Thank you to all the staff present this Sunday and a good end to the season at the Liré-Drain club. »

SO Cholet 3 – 1 Le Poiré-sur-Vie

The Choletais hosted the Vendées for a crucial day of the championship for the remainder of the season. The game started strongly for SO Cholet, who scored from the start before widening the gap and leading 2-0 at halftime. After a penalty, Le Poiré-sur-Vie returns to the game, but Cholet’s players score steadily and take cover. Final score 3-1.

Nathan Duret“I’m happy for the players who knew how to be realistic and keep control of the game. There are still 2 games to go in this championship, it’s up to us to stay concerned and continue working on training this week. †

SO Cholet 2 – 1 Saint-Sebastien-sur-Loire

The first period is even, the two teams are even and the chances on both sides are rare. At the start of the second period, the Choletais will pass for the score. However, they will be connected soon after. It doesn’t affect them as they get the benefit back a few minutes later. Final score 2-1.

Thibaut Violeau“The boys achieved a positive result that rewards the collective efforts to find the solution against this highly organized team from San Sebastián. I am also very pleased with the reaction they had during the equalizer and the attitude they had to keep calm and get back to the front. Thanks to the families present. †

Le Loroux-Landreau 3-4 SW Cholet

On behalf of the 7th match day of the second phase, the U14s won despite some shock at the end of the game.

Frejus Sika and Quentin Morvan“The first period was generally relatively controlled, even though it took 10 to 15 minutes before we started the game. We were able to put our playing principles into practice, which allowed us to make a difference in this first period. lads in the second half probably took the game for granted and went all the way through it the opponents were able to take advantage of our individual and collective mistakes we will keep the win in spite of everything but be careful not to ruin everything for the last two league games that are still left.”

Tessoualle Tournament

1er of the 10 teams

The U13s traveled to the Tessouale tournament this last weekend of the school holidays. With a good first place, the Choletais showed themselves well.

Nathan Duret“I am very happy with the guys who are keeping their momentum going and who have been able to show rigor and determination all day long. Many thanks to Alain for replacing me at the end of the day and thanks to the parents in attendance. †

Saint-Léger U13 Tournament

5and of the tournament

This Saturday the U12s went to Saint-Léger to play a U13 tournament that day. After a decisive morning, ending with 3 wins from 3 games, the U12s start the second half day with a loss. Finally, after the classification matches, the Rouge et Noir finished in 5and square.

Antoine Richeux“We had a good start to the tournament. The players enjoyed playing together, unfortunately we didn’t finish where we wanted to. However, we have a lot of positive things to get out of this tournament, especially in terms of learning. Thanks to the club of Saint-Léger for its welcome. †
